Dança
Dança is a mini accordion book I created especially to share at FLIP.
The story takes place by the seaside and plays with the contrast between the calm image we usually associate with nature and the lively, bustling rhythm of wildlife all around.
The story takes place by the seaside and plays with the contrast between the calm image we usually associate with nature and the lively, bustling rhythm of wildlife all around.
With a playful tone, the book invites the reader to see this contrast as if it were an unexpected choreography.
For the illustrations, I experimented with a hybrid process: creating textures with traditional techniques and then turning them into digital brushes to paint the scenes.
This mix of analog and digital is a path I’ve been exploring more and more, as I look for new ways to tell visual stories.
